Although Fixed Index Annuity may be the correct title, there is much confusion and little information if one searches under this subject. Using Equity Index Annuity results in the proper context as perceived by the general readership. For example, note the usage in FINRA - Investor Alert - Equity-Indexed Annuities—A Complex Choice. --LadyGeek 11:27, 3 March 2012 (CST)

We should remove the Securities Litigation & Consulting Group (SLCG) references due to the bias of the interest group. We are allowing this page to reflect a bias by not allowing "insurance" linked interest groups to present their counter-argument "views":

I don't have the background to understand what I was missing, thanks. I have revised the page to include the refutation, as well as a summary paragraph from the NAFA. The SLCG study was quoted in both Mel Lindauer's Forbes article (The Truth About Equity-Indexed Annuities) and Baron's (Designed to Deceive), so I think it should remain - along with the refutation to show balance. The Baron's link was found in the forum thread as a good reference. --LadyGeek 20:24, 3 March 2012 (CST)

I reformatted the Caveat table and removed the graphic, as it may be inappropriately used in this context. The wikitable format also centered the table, which did not look right on a wide screen monitor. The "Buyer Beware" logo biases the opinion as product branding and may be interpreted in a negative light. --LadyGeek 18:41, 8 March 2012 (CST)
