Talk:Outline of non-US domiciles

Should we split this page into a {{non-US}} page and a "US domiciled outside of the US" page? If yes, I will do it. --BeBH65 17:57, 11 September 2019 (UTC)

This seems appealing, but I can see a couple of problems with splitting it along that dimension. The 'US citizen outside the US' part will be small, so not a huge saving in complexity for non-resident aliens, and some pages cover both US citizens outside the US and non-resident aliens, for example Non-US investor's guide to navigating US tax traps. My sense is that it's okay for now, but we should keep an eye on growth. Or if we feel it is already too large, a quick way to resize this page would be to split out the country-specific page section into its own page. --TedSwippet 18:16, 11 September 2019 (UTC)

Is this page Global or Non-US?

We want US investors living outside the US to read this page, so {{Non-US}} should not be used. {{Global}} applies to everyone. Investors can easily see which sections of the page apply to their situation. It is a compromise, but should be OK for now. --LadyGeek 14:16, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

Requests for new pages

There are two reader feedback requests:

Hello, please provide information on investing for French residents, especially in Vanguard's index funds. I'm lost. There's little information available online even in forums (there it's confusing). Thank you!

Add an "Investing from Hong Kong" page.

Is there any interest to develop a page for France or for Hong Kong? --LadyGeek 12:50, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

Reader feedback: Add an "Investing from Hong Kong" page.
