PSA - "New" Vanguard Tax Center Hid our 1099-R's

One note first, we transitioned our accounts to the new brokerage platform this year. Maybe our issue was related to that?
Below is what I see when I log into to get my tax forms on the "great" new Vanguard website. The one with huge text and white space everywhere. As you can see, it says that all 3 of my tax forms are now available. Of course, only one is shown, the Consolidated 1099. It is missing 2 of the 3 tax documents, and no, the other forms are not also in the Consolidated one. Am I missing a drop down menu somewhere to change the view in order to be able to see the other 2? I did not crop out anything relevant when taking the screen shot.
Now look in the lower right corner. See that link to "View the old experience"? Sounds terrible right? Actually I wish every page had this

The 2nd image below is what I see when I go to the "old experience". Notice all 3 tax documents are visible? Anyway, I figured I'd share my experience and maybe help someone out there looking for the rest of their Vanguard tax documents.

Agree the IRAs converted to Brokerage or are they old Mutual fund only? Because that would explain it

OP,
You first noticed you have three tax dorms available, but you only see the one, based on the statement below, right?
All 3 of your tax forms are now available So, you are informed you have three tax forms.
Did you miss this, directly below the bolded statement above, Vanguard states this:
Tax forms that do not show here, (and why)
Had you clicked on the link you would have seen this:
Closed accounts: You won't see tax forms for accounts you closed last year. To view these forms, visit our old tax form page.
Form 1099-DIV: You won’t get a 1099-DIV if you received less than $10 in dividends last year.
Form 5498: These forms aren’t available until May (and aren’t needed to file your tax returns).
Seems Vanguard gave you some directions to address your missing tax forms that you might have not read, or understood.

Also, on the old format page, the IRAs do not say Brokerage. That's why. Next year you'll be right as rain. This actually exemplifies or typifies the issues of supporting two different platforms on an ongoing basis.

I did see the link, had clicked the link, and read the pop-up. The issue is that I was looking for a 1099-R, not a 1099-DIV or 5498 and and I'm not sure the account is closed. None of the 3 "reasons why" seemed to apply.

Perhaps I did not understand. I transitioned all Vanguard accounts, and closed none of them. I can still see the "Traditional IRA Brokerage Account" with a 0 balance. It is still available for 2023 contributions after the conversion was completed as it was never closed. If the transition counts as closing an old account and then opening a new one, then I guess
"Closed accounts: You won't see tax forms for accounts you closed last year." would indeed have applied and I did not understand.

True. The taxable event occurred while the accounts were on the old platform, so that makes sense. I guess my issue was that I didn't think transitioning accounts was an account "closure".
Regardless, maybe the OP will help someone else not have to search for them

I spoke with someone a Vanguard a while ago about the new platform that all my kids have while I have the old (BETTER) platform. I was trying to find something for them and it didn't work like mine. The tech was very candid and said the management did not consult with them or customers when designing this new platform. I said I understand and appreciated the truth. Sometimes new and improved is not so new and improved.

Hmm. I see all 1099-R and consolidated 1099 on the new page. No issue for me here.

My "new" brokerage accounts say the tax forms will be out 2/23/23 (about).
Right after the year I switched, we received two 1099 forms: the earlier one in January for the former accounts, and the later one in February for the new brokerage accounts we switched to.
Now there is just one consolidated 1099 which comes out in February.

After the transition, your old accounts are closed. The brokerage accounts have a new number entirely and in that sense are not simply a direct continuation of previous accounts. The confusion is understandable, but this should be a one-off transition year issue. They might have had to do a lot of additional programming to display the old and new account forms on the new tax document page for what one would hope is a temporary situation, and judged it was not worthwhile since there was another way to obtain. My 1099-R for a Traditional IRA Brokerage account type (used as part of Backdoor Roth IRA process) showed up on the main page when notified with no issues.
Yes, it might and likely will help someone else. I've already seen this thread linked from another thread where someone has a similar issue / question.

Update 2.2.2023:
This issue seems to have been resolved and the 1099-R's are now displayed correctly in the "New" Tax forms & Information page. If I'm going to point out when it is broken I may as well point out when it is fixed!
