I have oneplus 7 pro 4000mah battery. 8 hours after work I still have around 60% medium use. If I don't use the phone it will last around 2-3 days.

It comes with 30 watt charger so the phone charges 0 to 50% in 20 mins... Unlike iRipoff 3x slower :sharebeer

I've got an older LG Xcharge. Battery life obviously depends on usage; I get about 4 days of *my* typical use with mine. Looks like Motorola G7 Power might be current best battery life, but that's achieved with lower res screen.

Our iPhones hold the battery well.

iPhone 11 Pro Max promises 5 more hours battery than the previous iPhones which already offered decent battery life.

Samsung phones have power saving features that work well. You can realistically get days out of one if you activate most aggressive power-saving and use it for talk/text only. Kind of works like an old Nokia, although the screen is still pretty power-hungry so keep it off as much as you can. This is not theoretical. I've done it when traveling in areas where there is effectively no data service. If you have no service at all, use airplane mode.

Samsung phones will also tattle on power wasting apps. I uninstall those. Getting rid of Facebook and a particular podcast app that mysteriously ran in the background and used a lot of power in the process was huge.

If you want full brightness, full blue light, full performance web browsing and various power and data-hungry apps, it's largely a function of battery capacity. The best solution is to bring a portable battery or to buy a case with a built-in battery. I always have a portable battery in my bag. It has been needed.

Another battery drainer is the radio. If you frequent an area where you get a weak signal, you are going to drain the battery faster especially if you use the phone. The radio transmits at full power under those conditions and the slow data speeds will mean the screen is on longer. It can be helpful to use Wi-Fi for any data usage when you have a weak signal. Keep in mind some apps use data in the background unless you've disabled that.

Like a week.

My pixel 2 xl I keep charging continuously when on a road trip.

I charge my phone every 4th day on average.

It's a Google Pixel2 XL. I doubt the phone has extraordinary battery life though.

It seems I'm NOT one of the unfortunate humans that spends their entire life staring at a 5.5" screen.

Do you mean the one with a good power saving mode? I think it is safe to say that battery life will depend on how one uses their phone.

For instance, I have a Samsung something. When I go to bed, I don't turn it off, but I put it in airplane mode, set the ringer/buzzer to off, and turn the display off. This means it does not have to "boot up" in the morning. The phone uses essentially no battery overnight. I could do the same thing during the day. The battery would last through a 3 week camping trip this way.

There are also plenty of Anker power banks and other such bricks that will be able to recharge a phone several times.

So in my opinion, battery life is not a reason to select a particular phone.

G7 power if you like the phone and don't want high end.

There are also battery cases.

Moto G7 is current king. Also adjust your settings to minimize battery use (which is driven by antenna use and of course camera). And get a spare charger to carry in your purse.

3rd Vote for the G7 Power. Unless you're a gamer or something that needs some huge amount of power in your phone, buying all these flagship phones is a total waste of your money. My G7 Power lasts me 4 full days, even my son who plays games on his lasts a day and a half for him.

We recently went on a roadtrip with family members who had Galaxies and iPhones.... we laughed at them tethered to their USB ports and portable power bricks lol.

In all seriousness though, great phones and we only paid $60 for them on promotion. They can readily be found $120-200 new.

Same here. The 7T and 7T pro will launch soon. Great value.

I did not know that. Only saw an iPhone opened up once at the Apple store.
