Thanks for posting that link!

Bogle's comments about SS and pensions acting like a bond in a portfolio matches what I intuitively derived years ago. Nice to hear expert validation.

Yes, it is always good to hear validation from someone like Jack! He validated my Balanced Index for life at the Boglehead meeting and it makes it easier for me to stick with it. :beer

I kind of break a boglehead rule but I guess it depends on who you talk to. I put all of my retirement into VTSAX so I guess the buffets and maybe Bogle himself would not have a huge problem with this as they always preach to bet hard on the U.S. economy. I am not saying this is right but I actually sleep better with 1 fund and keeping it simple. I also do not feel comfortable investing heavy overseas and feel that VTSAX to some extent has some global influence.

As long as I am comfortable with it that is all that matters :) Best of luck to everyone and I hope we all end up doing well in the future no matter what we decide to do :)
