It's a nod to the Bruce Springsteen song "Janey Don't You Lose Heart". No special reason, just like the song.

It means I'm close to a pointed end where two curves meet, such as an accumulation curve and a spending curve; or more generally, a time of transition. I suspect that with plans to go part time for awhile it won't be as clear a distinction as my avatar makes it out to be.

Hmm.... "True Fact" ? Isn't that redundant? If it isn't true, how can it be a fact? :D

DW thought wdnnikl was an appropriate user name because it reflects both money and a general warning about being careful in your dealings. Since both of those topics come up on this forum, I concurred that her advice was sound, thus avoiding a wooden nickel. :D

I am a graduate of Providence College (the Friars, if you follow college basketball or hockey). The number is a reference to my Navy career.

Well, my name is Gandhi, and for obvious reasons, you know it why.. My Father was a die-heart fan of the India leader Ghandi. I don't know why. lol

I collected coins for many years. The Morgan has so many types and like a good investor must sometimes do, it made a comeback. The 1921 was that comeback, and of course there were two designs minted in 1921, the other being Peace dollar. It even has a tie in with an Ohio senator. If anyone has an extra CC mint mark or two from the Morgan series, I would gladly accept a donation. :D

Combination of my Sir name (sound alike) and my aggressiveness in High School on the tennis court given to me by teammates.
Now almost 65, it's a nick name I use for everything throughout the years.

it just popped into my head at a moment when I was trying to think of a screen name that had no particular connection with my real world identity. It's a line from a song in a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, The Mikado, in which a character, Ko-Ko, is making a list of people who could be eliminated and "never would be missed." It's some obscure legal term relating to court procedures in Victorian England. I'm not a lawyer, certainly not a judge. I've done a little bit of Googling and clicking and have concluded that Gilbert and Sullivan connoisseurs have no idea what, or more likely whom, Gilbert was talking about.
I always thought you owned a Nisan and a Prius. LOL!

In retrospect, I think it doesn't align with the idea of deferred consumption and having a surplus to invest.

As an undergraduate student I took a whole semester course called The Arthuriad. I have no memory of that character. Good thing I became an engineer.

I am a history buff and Mursili was most likely the second king of the Hittites. I really enjoy the story of the Hittites - a great kingdom that falls and is nearly completely forgotten until the royal archives (in essence) are uncovered in the late 19th century and now we know quite a bit about them. Mursili is known for sacking Babylon and ending Hammurabi's dynasty and then dying (or was it getting killed by a relative) upon his return to Hattusa.

My avatar has a carved Hittite soldier whose shield has been replaced by a watermelon. I have a certain association with watermelons.

My user name has nothing to do with finances or the clarity of my writing. It's the second line in the lyrics of a song that always makes me happy.

"Well, she was just seventeen
You know what I mean
And the way she looked
Was way beyond compare
So how could I dance with another,
Oh, when I saw her standing there"

I have named many of my computers over the years (no longer do). All of the names were references to my childhood’s favorite movie - The Wizard of Oz. ( toto for a macbook, tinman for an imac, etc),

Continued with Dottie57 - Dottie for Dorothy of course. 57 is birth year.
