Investment Options
My employer plan includes a non qualified option. I am trying to decide where to invest new $$. I expect that I will need to liquidate the non qualified option in about 2 years upon separation from the company. I was originally thinking about splitting new money between VINIX, VIVIX, VIGIX, VBAIX, and FRGAX ( money market option). I am reconsidering. Since the time to liquidation is a little less than 2 years it might be prudent to put new money in FRGAX only which is yielding a little over 5% currently. All input is appreciated.
Re: Investment Options
It depends on what you mean by liquidate. Will you simply have to move the money elsewhere, and then reinvest, or will you need to go to cash?vgletdown wrote: Wed Jan 03, 2024 1:34 pm My employer plan includes a non qualified option. If the former, that's just a lateral move. If stocks are down, you'll be liquidating down but also rebuying down.
If you do choose to go with stocks, just stick with VINIX. VIVIX and VIGIX basically cancel each other out.
Re: Investment Options
Investments will be sold and the balance paid to me as wages upon retirement. Currently this account is invested in VTTUX Target Date 2025. VIGIX has considerably outperformed VINIX and VIVAX in 2023 and also outperformed them in the past 5 year and 10 year periods. VINIX and VIVAX outperformed in the past 3 year period. Not that past performance is indicative of future. Thank you for your comments.

FRGAX is NOT a money market fund. It is a moderately aggressive fund [70% Allocation Fund - as in 70% equities]
