Any crafters or artists here?
I have several strips of probably stiff poster paper. All are about 3.5 x 8". They have a slick coating, dark green background with white print. Not good for watercolor, of course, but would acrylic or oil paint work on them? Would acrylic gesso work as a prep base for oil or acrylic on them? OR, what can they be used for, I hate to just toss these.

Re: frugality indeed!
This sounds like a very easy thing to test.

I just now saw this thread. If it were me I’d find an artsy type. I’m not one. Put up a want add or post it at your local college or library. I love this kind of thing because you can do some good, pay it forward. It’s green, kind and resourceful. It teaches me about how people myself included function in my community. But mainly paying forward. A fun opportunity. I hope you have some luck with this project.brandy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 11:49 am Any crafters or artists here?

We helped my DS and DIL move into their new house a couple years ago. Rather than trash the moving boxes and crates we put up an add on Craigslist. Free to use just pick them up. They went right away, everyone was happy.
