Classic BMW Auto Parts

Post by IfIOnlyKnew »

My son-in-law has a couple of BMW cars from the 1970-80s that he tinkers with. Is there an online store that specializes in classic BMW parts? I was thinking of getting him a gift card for his birthday. I see several sites on the web but they seem to be more geared towards current years.

Bavarian Autosport used to be great for this, but they went out of business maybe 5 years ago. They were bought up by ECS Tuning, who kept all the information and tutorials around, but I’m not sure if they still sell all the parts for the older cars. But that’s where I’d probably look first.

I'd recommend you call HMS Motorsports. They might be a good reference for who to call. Another is Covered Bridge Motor Werks in Conway, NH and ask for Rick. You're looking for someone who is like CTC (Circle Tire Company) used to be. They'll know what you mean by that.
