Applying for a mortgage

Post by GBR »

It’s been some time since I last applied for a mortgage, but I’m planning to apply in the next few weeks. I am asking for some advice/suggestions on the best way to go about doing it these days.

Loan details: $2 million, 30-year fixed, in NC.

I would appreciate any recommendations you have for banks, credit unions, or other financial institutions to contact for the lowest rates/smoothest process.

What is the most accurate site/link/table/chart to approximate best currently available rates.

Thanks!

I used to use Bankrate for comparison of rates in my area. I looked them up yesterday and they don't seem to be emphasizing mortgage rates, but I didn't look too long. You might try them.
