I initiated a transfer of all my Vanguard assets to Fidelity on Thursday 9/14, the day before some trades were to settle this Friday, the 14th. The rep said that wouldn't be a problem. The transfer happened pretty fast; everything but the trades that were supposed to be settled on Friday, and the MMF shares in my settlement fund arrived at Fidelity Friday night.
Now I'm wondering if I have to do a second transfer, or if the remainder will be transferred automatically. This is my Traditional IRA. Transfer of Taxable Brokerage and Roth IRA went perfectly.
Has anyone been in this situation before?
Thanks.

Re: ACATS Transfer and unsettled trades
I was told (in an ACATS transfer not involving Vanguard or Fidelity) that, following the transfer, there would be a sweep (as I recall, weekly for a few weeks) to bring over any remaining cash, funds from selling of partial shares, shares that weren't settled at the time of initial transfer, etc. You should ask Fidelity if they do that as well - my guess is yes but my mouth is not the horse's mouth.

I wonder if anyone had this situation at Fidelity?

All ACATS receiving organizations sweep for up to 90 days or so to pick up straggling dividends.
