I had YouTubeTV for a year or so and while I enjoyed it, including the recording function, I got tired of the price hikes. At this point in my life I don't need sports and "live" tv. I prefer a variety of streaming services which allows us to watch a ton of shows w/o commercials. I can also get some live tv with an indoor antenna but that seldom matters to me.
Obviously it just depends on your budgets and preferences. There are some people out there that never watch tv and others, like my uncle, who is older and couldn't live w/o his live sports and watching live tv, even though it is often older things he could stream but I don't think he understands that or cares to at his point in life (80s).
I'll have to check on what freebies t mobile gives you. I just switched and shortly my wife will also since it will save us a ton of money, assuming the service is sufficient where we live. So far it works well for me.
Back to youtube, in some ways you end up with the same issues you have with cable or satellite, many channels you have zero interest in and others you want but then they end up dropping.

If you think something is important and it doesn't involve the health of someone, think again. Life goes too fast, enjoy it and be nice.

Definitely still plenty of channels I don't watch. But I watch a lot of live sports and YTTV is by far the best for that. I don't care too much about MLB Network so that was no big deal to me. As a Pittsburgh Pirates' fan, there is not much baseball I want to watch any more. For me, it's college bball, college football, and golf. And I get all of that with YTTV. $72 seems like a bargain compared to what we were paying with Verizon FIOS cable. In fact, I get my YTTV through Verizon.
