I hold some 1 year and 2 year US treasuries all purchases over past few months. Today the interest rates all fell, but surprisingly the value of my treasuries fell too. Can someone please explain why? Aren't my treasuries which I got at a higher rate supposed to be more valuable, not less when the treasury yields fall?
Thank you!

Re: US treasuries and interest rates
Depending on the brokerage, it might not be showing the price change of today (let alone at that given moment). That is, the data might be stale.
Passive investing: not about making big bucks but making profits. Active investing: not about beating the market but meeting goals. Speculation: not about timing the market but taking profitable risks.

I bought 90 day Treasuries at a higher rate. The bonds have increased in value since rates have dropped.
Maybe your brokerage hasn’t updated the bond values yet.
