Online Passport Renewal Not processed after 13 weeks? Cannot reach support. What to do?

Hello, did anyone use the online option to renew your passport at travel.gov? It's been 13 weeks (submission on 12/11 w/ confirmed reply from agency). My current status is still "in process".

When I tried to call the number listed above, it constantly announces "please call back later". It's not urgent, but I'm wondering if anyone has received their passports via this method and how long did it take?

I did an online renewal in early October, 2022 and received my passport in about 6 weeks.

Maybe contact one of the passport agencies (under List of passport agencies and centers with locator numbers) using your locator number?

Took 3months for me. Online status was very confusing as it changed status only about a week before showing up in the mail.

We did an expedited passport several months ago and it took six weeks or so. Like above, the status didn't change until the week we received them.

Just renewed via mail and it took 6 weeks. Submitted new applications for the kids and it took 8 weeks. Started process mid January.

Was 3 months for me during covid. Ultimately, I reached out to my US senators office. They or your congress folks have staff that solve constituents issues. They fixed it pretty quickly.

We submitted ours online in mid-December. Updates on the portal were pretty minimal and random. My wife's status went to "received" and "in process" the first day after submission. Mine (submitted about 30 minutes later) just sat in "received" for about 11 weeks, then suddenly updated to "printed", and "mailed" a day or two before it arrived. I don't think the status ever changed further on my wife's, but it showed up in the mail a week or so after mine (but bearing an "issued" date a week before mine).

I can't say I was very impressed by the process, but the new passports did eventually come. Relatives who did theirs by mail in the interval got theirs in about half the time (neither of us paid for expedited).

You submitted yours AFTER mine, yet you got both already? I got an email confirmation "received" next day after submission, but nothing else thus far. Went into portal often to make sure they didn't ask for more information or anything. But Wowza yours stuck at "received" for 11 weeks...ugh! Did you get a tracking number or anything before they arrive in the mail? I'll give it a few more weeks as I'm not in a hurry. So far not impressed w/ online method. No wonder they had stopped that option as of early March.

I think ours were submitted a week after yours. On one we got notified it was coming, and tracking info. The other just showed up (about 10 days later). Both were sent via express mail.

After about 10 weeks, I did manage to get through to a live support person (first try got website support, who couldn't do much, but they provided a number into the renewal service). Of course the response was to the effect "yeah, they are in there and nothing is blocking them; give it another few weeks and maybe they'll get done". The one useful bit of info I got from the call was that status update (or lack thereof) on the website had very little to do with what was actually happening with the renewal.

At some point soon, I might bug your congressional representatives local office. It might not change anything, but it lets them know a pain point for their constituents.

Yes, I am pretty sure I received a tracking number once it shipped. The shipping did not take long at all (a few days).

I recently tried to renew mine online. They had a message saying they were overwhelmed and were not accepting any more online applications.
