Vanguard Fund Compare feature

Post by dkturner »

Is anybody else unable to access the Vanguard Fund Compare feature on its website? I have tried both Safari and Google.

Thanks. I hadn’t thought about using the Vanguard Advisors website. I like it much better than the Individual Investors “improved” website.

Yes, I found the same problem as well. In regards to the advisor/compare option, it doesn't provide earnings growth and it isn't as easy to include non-Vanguard ETFS.

I found this as well: https://personal.vanguard.com/us/faces/ ... ontent.jsp

I agree that something is wrong with the Vanguard website, I have not found a way to resolve the add fund/compare option.

Works fine for me with Brave ("Shields down" on VG site). Windows 10, desktop computer.

Regards,
This one leads you to the same old UI with the vertical column comparison and graphical performance chart for Vanguard funds only.
Note that once you get past the selection of the initial list of funds, and see the comparison, you still can't add or replace funds on the results screen as we were able to do not long ago. I tried this in Safari (Mac and iPad) and Chrome with all site specific settings allowing vanguard unfettered capability (popups, downloads etc). But having the above links is fine, and in fact a better UI to select the initial list of funds.

Note I reported this issue via secure messaging, my SENT message seems to have vanished on the site.
Sending again, they should fix this.

Beyou,

Yes, I agree with all of that. However, you can go back and select different funds in https://personal.vanguard.com/us/faces/ ... ontent.jsp. You can select Non-Vanguard ETFs and get Earnings growth rate data this way. The advisor.vanguard site(s) do not provide the earnings growth rate data.

The original bug appears to be fixed today.
I can REPLACE or ADD funds across the top of the compare screen now.

This is a great find. Better support for non-Vanguard funds.
The other compare discussed here, can support other fund managers but no charts.
Also Vanguard does not like reporting yields on foreign funds and insists on real yield only, for tips.
With this tool, you cam see Vanguard is an outlier and other report yield (or full yield on tips, not after inflation).
Also shows div yield side by side for a more meaningful comparison.
