Hey everyone. We’ve been taking about getting together soon. Anyone interested in meeting up in the next couple of weeks? Perhaps we start out with a social outing at a restaurant one evening?

We are interested. Just let us know when and where and we'll try to be there, if possible.

For us, generally: Sundays before 2p & Tuesdays are out; Other days: after 6:00p is usually better. Saturdays are iffy.

Hope others are still interested!

That’s great that both of you are available! Let’s see how many others can join us and where everyone is located and we can try to figure out a central location for most people.

Sorry to hear that bnrtgb.

Given the difficulty of aligning schedules with everyone - I vote we proceed with those who can make it. I haven't seen any other meeting locations proposed but have seen people from both SL and UT counties express interest. So, I propose we meet in the Draper area as it's central to both.

So, how about we proceed with the 22nd at 7:00 at the Draper Kneaders (177 13800 S, Draper, UT 84020)?

I'd love to just meet and get to know anyone else who can make it!

I'd be fine to be meet in SLC if that'd be better for the group.

In terms of finding one another, I'll be in a grey shirt with red sleeves. I'm looking forward to meeting you all this evening!

Sounds great, Matt! I think somewhere with interesting food would be great to enjoy with our conversation. I have a few suggestions but am open to other preferences:

1) Gurkhas for Indian food near 215 and 3300 south

2) Baek ri hyang on State st near 3300 south, Korean

3) Little Saigon, near 2100 south and 900 east.

Little Saigon is the most casual of the three and least expensive. You order at the counter and get your table and they bring the food to you. All three should have plenty of capacity to seat us, especially the first two which are larger establishments. There’s also Jinya Ramen somewhere near Murray and a little south.

I think there are just three of us coming tonight. If anyone has dietary restrictions and needs a different type of place, I think anything within the beltway contained within the 215 would be reasonably accessible for all of us.

Until I hear back, since this is the day of the event and communication may be difficult, I’ll just designate option two which is the Korean place as our meeting location at 7 PM. It’s just one big wide open room and you can see everyone there. I picked it because it’s the most southern location of the three and therefore closest to Matt. We can change it based on any feedback later today. I am female with long brown hair and glasses and will probably be dressed in black. Just to make it easier to identify me, I’ll wear a gray fedora hat until we are all connected.

Baek ri hyang 7 pm

I requested a reservation at Gurkhas just to secure a place for us with no waiting but can adjust based on feedback today.

Gurkhas sounds wonderful. I love Indian food. Thank you so much for your effort in organizing this!

Will you two be planning on dinner there or just some light food? Just need to gauge how hungry to be when I show up :)

I want to have a full dinner but we can request separate checks, unless we are going to share everything.

I usually stop there just to get their spicy lentil soup. It will be a treat for me to have a full dinner there.
