Reimbursement of Medical & Dental Insurance

Hi,

Reimbursement of Medical & Dental  Insurance that employee purchased on his own, is it regarded as taxable income for employee and included in his gross salary.

Assuming the employer sets up a pretax shelter like an HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement) or a QSEHRA (Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Arrangement) the reimbursement is not taxable to the employee.
