Do I need small cap? (Finland)

Post by Aleksok »

I have VWCE+VAGF and my asset allocation is 95/5. Now i’m wondering should I invest also IUSN (small cap). I check that small cap represents about 11% from ftse all cap-index. What do you think, would it be worth to invest to it? My time horizon to retirement is 15-20 years and i’m 36 years old. I’m aggressive with my asset allocation but I know I can handle market crashes.

Tervetuloa.

Small is not required if you have total market funds.

If you do add a slice you have to stick with it for a long time and expect periods of underperformance.

I prefer mid-caps for a tilt. Just yksa perspective.
