Advice on what funds to put my 401k and DC plan in

Hi guys! I wanted to see if the funds I'm putting to my retirement at work is appropriate or if you think I should redistribute where I'm putting my money. I max out both my Roth 401k (no match) and DC plan (Keough) every year. I'm 42 yrs old, originally figured I would retire at 65yo, but now wondering if I can retire earlier (like 58-60yo?; not sure if that's possible). The way it is currently allocated was recommended by my advisor years ago. I apologize in advance if the way this is laid out is totally confusing. Please let me know if any other information is needed or if the way I listed everything makes absolutely no sense.

Let me start with the basics - Target Retirement funds are "all-in-one", diversified funds which follow a risk "glideslope", higher risk when you are younger and lower risk as you approach retirement. There would be nothing wrong with putting 100% of both accounts into a Target Retirement fund. A regular here on BH has a signature line that reads: "If you have to ask if a Target Date fund is right for you, it is."

If you hold Target Retirement, you do not need to hold other funds. If you hold other funds in a diversified manner, you do not need to hold a Target Retirement fund. So I would either dump the TR funds or simplify to just the TR fund, one way or the other.

There is no reason to have that mass of funds in your 401k. I suggest using a target fund that has the stock to bond ratio you want. It has everything you need and is very low cost.
