This is my Roth IRA portfolio.
VTSAX vanguard total stock market 70%
VTIAX vanguard total international 20%
VBTLX vanguard total bonds 10%
I'm 40 years old. I didn't start saving for a retirement earlier because I'm an immigrant to the USA. I need all your suggestions & critics. Thanks.

Re: Portfolio suggestions & critics
nothing wrong with that.
do you have a 401k?
some would suggest bonds in a 401k (tax deferred) and stocks in Roth IRA, but there's nothing wrong with what you've done either. You could also use a target date retirement fund in your Roth IRA as well.
in case we're missing other details (like 401k, etc), it would be best if you repost/edit your original post according to the following details:

It's "Stay" the course, not Stray the Course. Buy and Hold works. You should really try it sometime. Get a plan: www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Investment_policy_statement

90/10 AA at 40 years old is pretty aggressive. Is this all of your portfolio?

I don't have a 401k. I will have a 12 years pension. A full pension if I work for 30 years. I have 8k in two taxable accounts.
