TLH, I think I made a mistake

I sold Fidelity Zero Total market (FZROX) and purchased VTI Vanguard total Market. Would these two funds be considered the same by the IRS?

Go to Vanguard or Fidelity and compare the two fund to each other
You will see that they each have a different number of total stocks for each fund - enough to not be substantially equal

These two funds track different indices. FZROX uses the Fidelity U.S. Total Investable Market Index while VTI follows the CRSP US Total Market Index. I don't any reasonable person would consider these to be 'substantially identical' which is the criteria applied by the IRS.
