The count has now hit 5. I live in NJ, near Princeton, but am a very nice NJ transit trip away.
There's a local NJ chapter which meets in Princeton. Too far for me, but I believe it's called "central new Jersey" chapter.

Hello,

Is there a NYC Chapter? If so, where and when does it meet?

If not, is there a NJ Chapter, when and when does it meet?

I live in lower Westchester and would be very happy to attend a meeting.

Sincerely,

HC

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to announce that Bruce Steiner has graciously agreed to hold a presentation on wills and estate planning at our next Bogleheads meeting. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
  • Date: Wednesday, February 5
  • Time: 6-7:30pm (please arrive 5:30-6 if possible so we can start on time)
  • Location: 2nd floor room, Capital One cafe building @ 853 Broadway, New York, NY 10003 (southwest corner of 14th St and Broadway)
  • Note this a different room from the one we usually use!
Directions: Go up the staircase from the main public area on the first floor.
Our room is along the East wall in the corner, to the left of the Teller station (facing the Tellers).

Hope to see you there!

Hi HC, yes, there is a NYC chapter that meets approximately every 2 months to every quarter. Recently we have been meeting at the Capital One cafe near Union Square. I will post updates to this thread, and you can also join the Google group here to get email notifications: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/boglehead-nyc

Awesome! Bruce is an outstanding resource. He knows a thing or two about estate planning.
If you have to ask "Is a Target Date fund right for me?", the answer is "Yes".
