Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have a lot to learn, so don’t do anything until you take some time to read a lot. A good place to start is here at the bogleheads wiki. I recommend reading
Getting started
Asset allocation
Three fund portfolio

https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Getting_started
https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Asset_allocation
https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Three-fund_portfolio
Once you have that under your belt, read a couple of the books

You might mention some details about the annuity. Is it qualified? Are there surrender charges? Where is it held? Is it in an ira or 401k?

Is this a qualified annuity?
