When I want beer, I just buy some.
Or garage brew some.
I haven't tried that yet. Doubt it could be worth all the work, and I don't have a lot of free space in my garage.
There are some pretty good microbrews in my locale. For now, I'll probably stick with those.
I have yet to taste one beer that someone made in their house or garage that's better than what I can get at the store. I think you give up a lot without industrial-sized sanitation and consistency in brewing.
I had a friend who brewed some "interesting" bottles. They were fun. The labels were funny. A few were tasty. But none were worth the effort he put in, IMHO.

A fun hobby. Not a replacement for going to a good local microbrewery on occasion.
Don't be a lemming.

Just a little bit more info about the Fluz Cashback App.

Basically you can buy gift card vouchers for all the big stores (Amazon, Apple iTunes, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc...) and double dip on your cash back.

It’s works like this:

- You link your rewards credit card in the Fluz App
- You buy a gift card voucher for the amount needed at your specific shop.
- Fluz pays you back a shop specific percentage (Amazon right now 1.5%
- Since you pay with your rewards credit card you also get your points/percentage for the specific amount.

Makes 3% in total in my case (1,5% from Fluz and 1,5 for my Quicksilver CC)

It’s available right now for iPhone and Android.

Also, you can somehow earn from network purchases of your friends when you invite people. It seems to work right now since I get some pennies cash back from some friends I invited.

Rakuten. Turn on the browser add-in. I use Chrome.

It notifies if you get cash back when you hit a site and make a purchase.

Bing Rewards is a good one. eBay bucks. I also find not drinking as much beer saves a lot of money and my health.
Rakuten plugin is great, truly free cash

My hacks:
- Cash-back credit cards (see the other threads)
- Rakuten
- Discount gas card (ie. receive discount at the pump)
- Rebates
- Costco Exec membership (Our costco memberhip is not only free, we make an extra $10-20 on top)
- Fitness program at work (I get $100/year, previous employer paid $1500/year)

I use Paribus by CapitalONE and get some cash back from Amazon from time to time when they miss their delivery promise. They track other orders too, but i rarely shop elsewhere.

My extra money comes from my 2% Fidelity CC. It ends up in brokerage and buying more funds. No W2 funds any more.
