Questions on how we spend our money and our time - consumer goods and services, home and vehicle, leisure and recreational activities

I have made an estimate tax payment using the pay1040-dot-com service. Part of the reason is to "manufacture spending" to qualify for a credit card signup bonus. I made the payment on Nov 10, but it still has not posted to my credit card account (just shows as "pending"); I am nervous that it will not post by the deadline for the bonus. Has anyone else noticed excessively long posting times using this service ?
I've used pay1040 5x using 2 different cc. I don't check online so I don't know what happens there. The paper statement shows the transaction date the same as when I did the transaction. The posting date if 2 dates are shown is the day after. I call IRS 5-7 days after the transaction and they have it. If I call IRS the day after the transaction, they don't have it. Have you called pay1040?
Monday was a bank holiday, so this is only the 3rd business day since the transaction. 3 business days isn't an unusually long time for credit transactions to post, in my experience, so I'd give it at least another day. If it hasn't posted by Monday, then maybe I'd start to look into it.
I have paid many thousands via that processor, but I don't recall that the time from transaction to post date is longer than any other vendor. I have noticed that most credit card transactions post on the third day, but I have seen longer in rare cases. I think the longest was around 10 days. It's best not to cut it close. I generally get my SUB spending done with 15 days to spare.
It's posted now. Much ado about nothing. Let this thread serve as a warning that there may be some delay in payments posting, that could affect your meeting a sign-up bonus spending threshold on time.
