Transitioning my account at Vanguard

Post by Hpyhrt » Tue Aug 13, 2019 9:37 am

Has anyone done this already? I normally have distributions sent to an outside checking account and that doesn't seem to be an option. WT..

The new brokerage accounts let you transfer mutual fund distributions to a bank checking account automatically. They do NOT let you transfer individual stock distributions automatically, you have to do them manually.

I switched one taxable account and two IRS from the old MF system to brokerage. There are some minor differences but they don't affect me. The transition was painless. I did it online and it was complete the next day.

The dividends from my mutual funds go directly to my checking account.

I prefer the consolidated 1099 that I now receive.
