Is there any alternative option for CQQQ?

Post by trexdaddy » Mon Jul 15, 2019 7:29 am

Reasons:
I want to add some positions to China internet companies.

Problems:
I do not familiar with each firm.

So....
I found CQQQ may be the best sector ETF targeting China internet industry.

Any thoughts?

Hi,
its a US domiciled ETF. High expense ratio.
If you are not resident and not an US qualifying tax payer / citizen, this might cause difficulties offshore. So CQQQ may not be the one.

ticker: FXC iShares China Large Cap UCITS ETF might help.

If you're not familiar with the individual names in an ETF, all all a sector ETF does is make it easier own a little bit in each of several companies you're not familiar with. If you're specifically interested in the sector, it might be worth taking the time to learn about the top 3-5 names in the space and see which ones you'd rather own, otherwise you can simply "spray and pray" on individual names or the same names via an ETF.

One ETF I often compare to CQQQ is KWEB. If you can trade HK-listed ETFs, there is also 3173.HK (Premia New Economy)
