Applied for the Chase Business card yesterday, received an immediate 'pending review' message on the web browser. Email confirmation indicated the same thing. Did not receive any further emails.

Called the number listed on this website:
https://www.cardrates.com/advice/check- ... on-status/

Number:
Chase business cards: 1-888-269-8690
Sequence in menu: #, 3, 1 (website shows 1-3-1 but that didn't work for me)
Enter SSN

"You have been approved"

Will apply for the personal card now

Thanks for the datapoint.

How close to the statement close did you finish your $4K? I'm wondering if that has any bearing. Some people said they charged and paid the $4K before statement closing. I can do that but if I can postpone the payment until mid-March, it would be best.

Mainly, I'm concerned with making sure all of my $4K hits on the 2/16 statement so will have it done by this weekend. Which means it should sit on the statement for 3-4 days before the statement closes.
Card received 1/18; charge putting me over $4000 made on 1/23 and posted 1/24; statement closing date 2/1

This is the site that contains the latest "in-flight" links for the Chase SW card:
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chase-so ... -own-risk/

I used the first link for the $69 card. The first time it didn't go through and web browser seemed to hang. Closed browser and applied again.

This time *poof* approved instantly for $24k credit line! :moneybag

My summary of how this works:
1) Apply for the Chase business card here, get 60k miles upon meeting spend
https://creditcards.chase.com/small-bus ... r-business
2) Call the number here to check on the application status, likely you'll get no confirmation unless you take this step
https://www.cardrates.com/advice/check- ... on-status/
3) After approved, apply for the Chase SW personal card, use links within:
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chase-so ... -own-risk/

Meet the spending requirement then 'merge' the points from the two cards by using the Chase website.

I applied yesterday as well from this site. $69 card. I called today to confirm the bonus offer. I didnt even mention how many points/spending requirements, they confirmed it was for 50,000 points after $2k spend. So...this link is legit.

Sadly, I wasnt approved for the business card so no companion pass for me. I plan on cashing the points in for gift cards.

FYI. We signed up for the Southwest credit card with the companion pass bonus the day it came out, and then immediately charged $4000. We then paid that amount online. Yesterday the online first statement came out, and is due March 1. The only amount owing on that statement was $69 for the annual fee, which I then paid online. Will be interesting to see how long it takes for the companion pass and points to post.
To update .... First statement online was February 5. I checked on February 7 and we had the 30k mile bonus but not the companion pass bonus, so I called SW RR and they said I needed to talk to Chase, so I did and they were very helpful and said they were looking into and would let me know in a day or two. That was on Thursday late, and today Monday February 11 I have the companion pass in the system. Will now have a good 10.5 months to use it. Interestingly this was the first statement, not the close of the first statement so I am quite pleasantly surprised.

congrats, well done.

you will not have to do or merge anything, the points will go directly to your Southwest rapid rewards account, they are not chase points

once both buckets of points hit the SW RR account, and surpass the 110k mark, you will get the emails from SW about the CP, and a card in the mail

That's good to know, thanks.

Got both of my cards last week, the Business card has already been in heavy use. :beer

J295,

In reading The Points Guy, folks have been receiving bonus points within 2 days and CP anywhere between 3-8 calendar days of statement closing.

Would like to hear your experience when you receive it.

My statement closes 2/16 <sigh> Long 13-18 day wait for me.
My $4K spend posted by the time my statement closed on 2/1; 30K points posted 2/3; CP posted 2/5. Not bad at all
Thanks for the datapoint.

All spending posted to my account but 2/12 and statement was ready on 2/16. I had CP available to assign to someone on 2/16 but as of 2/17, I still don't see my 34k points yet. They were having issues with their site when we tried adding companions to existing flights. Got it resolved on one account and working on the other when points arrive.

Got my Companion Pass, good till end of 2020! It was effortless. I didn't need to set up anything, just used the cards and Chase transferred points from each to the RR account automatically. Took about a month to spend the 5k, another month for points to show up.

Thanks everyone! :beer

Yes, but getting the pass for 2019 _and_ 2020 is a good deal.

Seems like a good deal to us. A dozen flights in 2019 with companion for us for $69 and a modest spend.

Sure, two years are better than one year. But one year suits us just fine and we are not in a position to manufacture the spend required for the points needed for the two-year.

I didn't want to manufacture the spend for the 2-year deal either. By applying for the business card at the same time one can easily hit the required threshold.
