independent contractor but I didn't receive 1099-MISC

I am an independent contractor and fill out Schedule C. Some of the companies for whom I've worked did not send me a 1099-MISC. Do I need to contact them to ask them to send me one, or can I just include that income on Schedule C, even without their 1099-MISC?

You don’t have to have a 1099. Of course, you must report all income regardless of whether not you receive a 1099.

Note: if the amount paid to you during the calendar year was less than $600 the payer is not required to give you a 1099. Depending upon the situation, other exceptions may apply.

+1

Always have to report all forms of income no matter the amount. Same thing applies to interest bearing accounts which don't need to send you a 1099-div if less than $10 but you're required to report it.
This is my personal opinion. I'm an engineer not a financial advisor.

You can create an account and view and print all all reported 1099's https://www.irs.gov/
