Graphics problems
Graphics problems
My computer recently updated itself.
Many web pages now load fuzzy. Refreshing the screen tends to fix them.
Any pointers?
Lets see if this link works to show it.

Re: Graphics problems
I check a couple things.
First, I'd go to the browser settings and flush the entire browser cache.
Second, I'd check to see if my graphics card needed a driver update. Normally the manufacturer's web site would have a support section that posts the latest drivers.

Re: Graphics problems
You might want to look up some stuff about the latest windows update that got pushed out.
I remember reading a few days ago that there were some sort of graphics issues being reported with it in video games.
I don't know if that's your issue because it specifically mentions errors in video games and not for general use but it does seem strange that I just recently read that and then now you report this type of issue.

Re: Graphics problems
If a desktop, try simple things first. Unplug the video cable to the monitor and reinsert.

Re: Graphics problems
I've had issues like that when my video card is in the process of failing or has already gone bad. This has happened with two different discrete video cards over the last 15 years. This doesn't mean your hardware has failed also, but do consider it a possibility.
Re: Graphics problems
Cache was not the fix.
I uninstalled windows security update KB4489868 a few minutes ago and thus far all looks good!
Thank you.

Re: Graphics problems
Just out of curiosity, how old is your hardware?

Re: Graphics problems
thanks. Just trying to decide whether to update my systems yet. I block the updates and wait a couple of weeks after the monthly patch to see if anyone is reporting problems. I might give it another week.
