Dividends etfs
What is a good dividend etf portfolio? you personally like using and have seen growth. Asset allocation?
Re: Dividends etfs
I like VTI and VV. Both pay decent dividends, but the dividends of VV are 100% qualified dividends.
Re: Dividends etfs
The best "dividend" ETF is also the most efficient investment portfolio available: VT, Vanguard Total World. Current yield 2.64%, according to Vanguard.

Re: Dividends etfs
Most of my investments are in tax-advantaged retirement accounts, so the differences between dividend taxes are irrelevant to me.

Re: Dividends etfs
Is there an efficient way to identify what % of a fund's dividends are qualified?
(I'm not referring to the required holding period, just the classification.)
I haven't consistently seen this listed anywhere other than on fact sheets for etf.com.
Thanks!

Re: Dividends etfs
The prior year's taxable dividends may be relevant, as may be the new year's investment strategy. There are no guarantees.

Google is pretty darn efficient if you restrict it to an ETF sponsor web site. Do you see the link on this page -> ?
https://personal.vanguard.com/us/insigh ... guardfunds
iShares, WisdomTree, et al have similar tables.

Bingo! Yes. Link works and that's exactly what I've been trying to find.livesoft wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:11 pmGoogle is pretty darn efficient if you restrict it to an ETF sponsor web site. Do you see the link on this page -> ?

Re: Dividends etfs
Getting back to the OP's question -
If you're looking specifically at dividend-focused funds, check out:
SCHD - Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF
VYM - Vanguard Whitehall High Dividend Yield ETF
They track different indexes, but results are very similar.
I'm using them to counter-balance some tech-heavy legacy funds.
The holdings are traditional "value" companies.

Re: Dividends etfs
And after you go to the link for the qualified dividends, you can see previous years by just changing the year at the end of the url. For example 2015 is at: https://personal.vanguard.com/us/insigh ... ncome-2015PalmQueen wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:07 pmBingo! Yes.
