Free Business Checking Account?

Post by mindgap » Fri Jan 11, 2019 2:43 pm

Im searching for a free business account these days. I misses the free one from Capital One back in the days and now Im kind of puzzled if there is something like a free business account out there? Currently I bank with BoA but I don't see a point paying $16 dollar every month for basically no service. Thats around $192 a year which I could use much better.

I only need the checking account to check my cheques and thats about it. Any idea?

Thanks!

US Bank and BBVA Compass Bank both offer a free business checking account. You just don't earn much interest. If you don't need a debit card or depositing cash in person, Fidelity also offers a business account that can be used for direct deposit, mobile deposit, direct debit, and writing checks. You just use the money market fund there.

If you live in one of 8 midwestern states, Huntington offers free business checking, up to 150 transactions per month - https://www.huntington.com/SmallBusines ... s-checking

Pair it up with Capital One Business Savings (if still available).

I think Fidelity has a free business account if all you need is electronic transfer and mobile check deposit.

I found local banks to be much more competitive for business checking than the big national banks, especially with regards to transaction limits and cash handling.
