I just harvested ~8k of ST & LT losses of Vanguard Capital Opportunity Fund Admiral Shares (VHCAX)
I can wait til 1/20/19 to repurchase but I'd rather repurchase a preferably Vanguard similar/equivalent fund (but will consider non-Vanguard).
Any suggestions?
TLH partner for Vanguard Capital Opportunity Fund?
Re: TLH partner for Vanguard Capital Opportunity Fund?
Isn't CapOpp just a US large-cap fund? If so, there are so many Vanguard ETFs and mutual funds in that space that you have a dozen or more choices. Many people would use VTSAX, VFIAX, or VLCAX as a TLH partner for any of these.
It is scary to me that you didn't have an idea ahead of time on this.

My thoughts were VLCAX. I wanted to see what others had to say...
Re: TLH partner for Vanguard Capital Opportunity Fund?
Full disclosure: I have a ton and a half, maybe 2 tons, of VLCAX.
You can use Vanguard Portfolio Tester and see what your asset allocation would be before and after switching CapOpp to Large-Cap Index.

Thanks for your confirmation. VLCAX gives me more of the lean I'm looking for.

Vanguard PRIMECAP works if you can buy it or PRIMECAP core. Flagship clients are limited to 25K per year on PRIMECAP. No limits on PRIMECAP core for Flagship clients.
