Starting small business out of a leased home

Post by proace360 » Thu Dec 06, 2018 1:47 pm

I'm moving to a new home soon, and I've long thought about starting my own freelance development business situated out of my house. I'd never really thought of the implications of doing something like this until recently, and I realized that if I am leasing my home and trying to run a small business out of it, I might be up for a legal headache down the line. Is there anything that I should be thinking about trying to run a business, albeit completely virtual, out of a home I lease and don't own?

Thanks!

Unless you are setting up a business involving a lot of traffic or face-to-face visits at your place, I can't imagine there is anything worth worrying about.
