No, at least not yet. The stock markets are still open though, so there is time.

Shoot. I just pumped a couple hundred into VFIAX. And, it might not even close down 2.5%. :?
Is VFIAX/VOO even eligible to participate in the RBD pool?

AS I TYPE THIS IT'S RALLYING!!!

We should crowd-source the definition of RBD.

I saw SPY as low as 3.56% down... it looks to have closed in the 3.2% down range.

I bought some, figured why not

How about this definition: It's a RBD when you're trying to buy but you can't get into your account because too many people are selling.

Reminds me of the famous Mark Twain quote:
OCTOBER: This is one of the peculiarly dangerous months to speculate in stocks in. The others are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, December, August, and February.

It's a really bad day for stocks. That said, US stocks are still very expensive. I bought international stocks today. Much better value proposition right now.

A livesoft-defined RBD meets all of these criteria:
1) VFINX drop of 2.5% or more
2) Drop greater than the 4th largest drop within the previous 150 days
3) Not a Friday

An RBD in 'all RBDs' meets only criteria (1) above.

I know you put a smiley there, but that is not a true statement. There is a definition posted on the forum. I don't re-post it over and over because I like to see everybody make up their own definitions which is a source of amusement for me.

It really was a joke. I'm aware of the definition, but enjoy watching you evade re-posting it every time there is speculation about whether or not we've had one. :happy

I need a retroactive rationalization of why things dropped by 3.29% today.

And the definition repeated in this thread is only for VFINX because "VFINX" was used by slickwillbo which might have better started with
A livesoft-defined RBD [for VFINX] meets all of these criteria:

A livesoft-defined RBD [for VFINX] meets all of these criteria:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A livesoft-defined RBD for VFINX meets all of these criteria:
1) VFINX drop of 2.5% or more.
2) Drop greater than the 4th largest drop within the previous 150 days.
3) Not a Friday.

A RBD in 'all RBDs' meets only criterion (1) above.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So...

1) VFINX dropped by 3.29% on 10/10/18.
2) The drop on 10/10/18 was the largest drop within the previous 150 days.
3) 10/10/18 was a Wednesday.

Therefore, 10/10/18 was indeed a livesoft-defined RBD for VFINX.
