This is my first time on the forum. I'm just starting out my career and was auto enrolled in a Vanguard target retirement account (VTRLX). There are a number of other funds available that I'd like to look into to get the best results in retirement.. the following funds are available:

Vanguard FTSE Social Index I - VFTNX - (exp. ratio - .12%)

The individual funds won't really give you a better result if the AA is similar. They will, however, allow you to choose your AA instead of going with the target-date fund's AA.Any thoughts on investing to get better results than a target retirement account?
