Just invest in vanguard balanced admiral fund (30/30/40) for life and forget about gun power.

Not sure what 30/30/40 means, the fund holds less than 1% International according to Morningstar assuming you mean Vanguard Balanced Index Admiral fund. I can't find one named Vanguard Balanced Admiral fund.
