I've done that trip, enjoy it! Mine was during a January, so the climate will be a little different I guess. South Georgia was absolutely stunning!
I'm not sure I have any specific tips other than to follow the clothing guidelines you probably received. Our trip included a parka, and we rented the boots. You absolutely need windproof, waterproof pants.
There's certain photography tips for pics in the white environment, but I think I left mine on auto, haha.
Feel free to private mail with any questions.

Some tips.

--For crossing the Drake, I went with the patch and it worked well.

--Get your fill of fresh fruit on the way south, there won't be much on the way north.

--If you are going by yourself, dine with a different group each time. The people who take the trip are interesting to say the least.

--Buenos Aires is just okay. If you have a day or two there, take the ferry ride over to Colonia, Uruguay.
