One of ours reached 250K last week. The other one reached 350K same week. Happy to send link to photos.
Have driven only 5 cars in 46 years of driving - and one of those was for only one year.

Kid schlepper bought used in 2008 with 45k on it
We keep it up, but only what our trusted mechanic says it needs.

Had a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with GM 3.8l V6, had about 330,0000 when I got rid of it.
Bought it used in March, 2002 and had it until the end of 2013.
Replaced it with '07 Impala with 3.9l and just turned 100K with that. Still like new.

Not mine but I know a guy who has a 1982 Mercedes 300D with about 700k on it the last time I saw him. Also know a guy at work who has a late 1990s Acura RL with a little over 400k on it. Cosmetically it is pretty battered though.

I got my first car (with the venerable GM 3.8 engine) to somewhere around 220k I think before I sold it, next owner had to put at least another 50k on it before he crashed it. Since then, except for one car I bought used at 25k and sold at 80k, I don't think I've ever had a car past 50k.

Had an uber driver last week with a Grand Prix from this era, I glanced over and saw it had about 161,000 on it. And boy did it feel like it. Car was moaning and groaning the whole way and felt like it listed to one side, steering wheel was vibrating, not sure how it ever passed uber's inspection.

I'll try the contrarian route by flaunting my low mileage car. I bought a new Toyota in 2013. Soon after, my employer went to a mostly telework schedule.

In spite of a couple long distance road trips, I'm coming up on 17K miles after 3.5 years of use.

I hope when I go to sell, the low mileage will have add to the value?

Similarly, my wife has a 2009 Malibu LTZ (bought new) that just turned 42,000 miles. When we travel together, we always take my car.

My 2009 Honda CR*V has 187,000 on it and still looks great, inside and out; runs good too although the engine is not as quiet as it used to be.

My Mercedes just hit 44,500 miles. I leased it for 45,000 miles for $615 a month. I brought it back three months early. The dealer wrote of the 3 lease payments, and I drove off in a new $47,000 Mercedes for $615 a month, including tax and all regular maintenance, with no money down (other than license and first month's payment).

Just sold:
2005 Honda Pilot ... (12 yrs old)... 71,000 miles... !

Replaced it with:
2007 Lexus GX v8 ... (10 yrs old)... 175,000 miles...!

I got older and higher mileage.. in an upgrade... ;)
Pilot could not handle 4x4 and snow situations... Lexus v8 is a BEAST and traction control, awesome leather/wood interior, navi, aux port, great Levinson surround sound... love my "upgrade" .. now sold on the benefits of Lexus vs. standard Toyo/Honda, without question (lifelong honda fan)

Fortunately I work from home so 2000-4000 mi per year is my average, Lexus should last me 10+ more yrs with proper care

Have driven Hondas and Toyotas to 180k+ with nothing but regular fluid changes and new tires. Traded due to boredom, not reliability issues. Current car is a 2014 Crosstour with a mere 30k. Plan to keep it for a very, very long time! If you take care of them, they will serve you well! Have wanted to buy American for decades and will as soon as they match the quality of imports. Sad but true.

I have a...
1982 Toyota Pickup at 400k miles (odometer stopped working a decade ago around 350k miles), which was a gift from family.
1982 VW Rabbit at 100k (way more on the engine, which needs a rebuild), which maybe cost me ~$350 total.
2000 Honda Insight at 95k I bought with 68k miles for $5000.
2005 Prius at 205k I bought with 135k miles for $7000.
2007 Prius at 195k I bought with 185k miles for $1500.

Three are non-op, and to be honest, four should be, but I have repairs I'd like to take care of before I drop to one active vehicle. I'm also planning to give the 2005 or 2007 Prius to my mother in law, but they both need some work before that happens.

I've never had a primary vehicle with fewer than 150k miles on it. The 1996 Nissan I drove through high school and college got up to about 210k before I gave it to a cousin (who promptly wrecked it). Now I "drive" a 1998 F-150 with about 180k miles (I put less than 5k miles on it a year).

However, I should be getting a new work truck this year. Even at 170k, this one is pretty beat up but I'm not one to complain. The guy who drove it before me must've had a lot of fun.

My 1995 Honda Civic Si has 183k. I don't actually drive very much, but I took a couple of long trips in it in the last year or two.
On the other side of the coin, DWs 2014 Subaru Impreza has 10k, so less than 5k a year.

I've had 3 late 1990's Ford Explorers all with over 150000. Two of them eventually had transmission problems, and the third had every part in the front steering and suspension systems start to fall apart, so I scrapped her. Total price paid for all of said Explorers..... $0.00 (I worked for a large towing company)

Now my 2011 Ford Edge has 78000, no issues, love it.

BUT the winner is the 2016 Mack Pinnacle work truck, just surpassed 90,000.

The above-mentioned 2000 Ford Explorer is still chugging at 314,200 miles.

Have about 185,000 miles on the 2005 Chevy.

I've been very fortunate with these vehicles:
- 1994 Geo Prism 245,400 miles, purchased new in Aug 1994. I change oil/rotate tires every 3,000 miles. Replace fluids every two years or so.
- 2005 Toyota Highlander 221,300 miles, purchased new in Oct 2004. I change oil/rotate tires every 5,000 miles; go to dealer for 60,000 mile major services.

New car fund (accumulation of payments formerly for Toyota) means next vehicle will be a paid-in-full cash purchase.

So you're averaging nearly 25,000 MILES PER YEAR in a Jeep Wrangler?

Where and why are you driving so much?

And why are you doing so much (presumably) highway driving in a Jeep Wrangler?
They are uncomfortable, unrefined beasts on the highway...loud, poor handling, poor steering, harsh ride, ect.

Great to be reading about all the high-mileage cars.

I entered the car buying public in the early 70ties.

Who can forget these magical times?

1. The first place you hit after driving off in your brand new car was either Rusty Jones or Ziebart, else you new ride would rust away from underneath you.

2. Ford's Pinto (aka Chariots of Fire) My 1974 Pinto was my first brand new car. Ford put a piece of plastic I believe to prevent a rear-end collision from turning the car into an inferno. Dollar for dollar probably the best car I ever owned.

3. Then the late eighties when GM's paint primer failed and I saw my 1988 Chevy Van taken down to bare metal and repainted.

4 In those days you would be proud if you got 100,000 miles on your vehicle.

Just asked one DD how many miles on her Camry, 225,000+ at her last service date. Her only other vehicle was a Nissan Hardbody truck. She put 150,000 on it, and only bought the Camry because she was expecting.

At the current rate we add miles to our van, less than 9,000/year, I'm not sure I will live to see 200,000 on it, 72,000 now.

2000 Toyota solara 192000 miles. Some leaks but still feels great and starts up easy. Paint is starting to crack and peel but refuse to have repainted because that will "cause" a real problem.

Currently we have 2013 Ford Taurus bought new with a little over 100k miles and 2012 Lexus es350 bought used with just over 100k. We typically drive them to 150k-225k. Really depends on when major repairs start to hit.

Not sure the Taurus will get 200k. It's mileage has dropped from 23mpg new to 15mpg. I am hopeful the Lexus gets 200k.

2001 Camry bought for 7k on Aug 2011 with 77k miles.
Performed regular maintance like timing belt, water pump at 90k,
spark plug and wires with all maintenance for 120k miles.
Issues in the past were battery dead once , passenger motor dead once, replaced radiator due to leak.
Changed all the 4 tires around 110k miles
Now its 122k miles, Recently it started to overheat on city driving and A/C no longer working.
I unplugged the radiator fan switch. No more overheating.

I hate to sell my camry but its time for change.
Looked on used model of Honda CRV but i couldnt see big difference in out the door price.
So time for new CRV by next month or so

Now own a 2016 Toyota 4Runner, getting ready to role 10,000 miles. Goal for this one is 300,000 miles!

2003 Deville 91k. I bought it from a friend in 2006 with all service records.for $17k, was $45k new . It had 26k at the time I purchased it. Well maintained by me.
Right front damage in collision in 2017. OP's fault. Insurance company declared it total loss and paid me $5200.00 and let me keep the car. Had it repaired for $2300.00. Now it has a salvage title. Looks and rides like a new car. Knock on wood. By far the best deal I have ever had with cars

The opposite here. I bought a 2011 Toyota Corolla in 2014 that had only 10k miles on it. The previous owner was an elderly lady that leased it. She barely drove it. Now it has only 36,000 miles on it and it's 7 years old. I'll be putting more miles on it because we bought a class 1 hitch for a bike rack and a rooftop rack for kayaks. We'll be traveling more with this car be ause of the awesome e gas mileage.

Just got it's 3rd set of tires, so I plan to keep it at least another 5 years & 60K miles. Maybe it will actually be able to rank in this contest in another 5 years 8-)
