A Special Vanguard Fund
Bogleheads:
Today, is my birthday and a record day for many Vanguard stock investors.
Question: Which Vanguard fund is this?
* Ten consecutive years in the top half of its category.
* Top 16% in its category for 10-year return.
* Top 6% in its category for 10-year after-tax return.
* Vanguard's lowest-cost fund.
* Vanguard's largest mutual fund.
* Top GOLD Morningstar Analyst Rating
* The only U.S. stock fund in The Three-Fund Portfolio
Only one guess.
Best wishes.
Taylor

Happy Birthday Taylor and wishes for many more. I love that VTSAX / VTI. No mental stress. Just buy it when funds become available and don`t peek much.
Re: A Special Vanguard Fund
happy birthday, Taylor.
Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom.
(But, I admit to being a little stubborn: still stuck on a Two Fund [domestic] portfolio... Some day I may get with the Three-Fund Program to be able to call myself a TaylorHead.

Re: A Special Vanguard Fund
Happy Birthday Taylor. I've learned a lot from you.
I'm really surprised so many people are guessing the S&P500 index fund, when you provided a link to the three fund portolio which recommends: 1. the total U.S. stock market index fund (.05%), the total international stock market index fund (.12%) and the total (U.S.) bond market index fund (.06%) (all exp. ratios assume a minimum investment of $10,000). How could the special fund be the S&P500 index fund? It must be the total U.S. stock market index fund (costs the same), right?

Wishing you many more! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom with the rest of us and personally helping me to achieve financial wealth over the years.
I will guess the Total Stock Market Fund but the S&P 500 fund has identical returns. So if your in either fund you've done pretty well over the years.

Also my favorite fund and a large part of my portfolio. I actually own all three "retail" versions of it bought at three different brokerage companies right now in one account or another.Taylor Larimore wrote:Bogleheads:
