If you sold an equity on April 11th 2016 when can you rebuy it and avoid a wash sale?

If you sold it at a loss and want to buy it back (or any other "substantially identical" security), to avoid a wash sale you would need to wait 31 days after 4/11/16.

It depends on whether you sold it for a loss or not.

April 11 is day 0.
April 12 is day 1.
...
You can buy it AFTER 30 days. You cannot buy ON day 30.
