Geico Mechanical Breakdown Insurance

Does anybody use Geico's Mechanical Breakdown Insurance? What do you think?

I had it some years back on an Acura I owned. The one time I needed to use it they said the part wasn't covered. (Part of the air conditioning system.)
That chapped me quite a bit.

In fairness, I think they may have changed the terms since then but I'd no interest when I purchased another vehicle to replace the Acura.

It was reasonably priced at the time but I switched over to Amica a few years back so no longer know how competitive the pricing is.

To extend the warranty on the VW I'm buying from 3 years to 6 years is $1,400, and I am trying to compare that to Geico's coverage.
