Pat,

So glad to hear you are recovering well and will soon be home. It is wonderful that you recognized the signs that you needed to go to the hospital. My best to you and Taylor with wishes for many more happy years together.

I had subscribed to the thread where you mentioned the surgery as well as the one in which another Boglehead asked about it. But I just found this thread now. I'm very relieved and happy to hear the good news.

Hugs to both of you.

Welcome home and I wish you a speedy recovery! My eighty year old stepfather had this surgery not a year ago and is back playing golf and softball, as good as new. I'm sure you will be back doing the things you love soon, too.

Pat,
It is nice of your husband to have us all 'call in' so to say. I think he misses you.
Judy and I have been together 43 years, but being apart even for just a week or so is rough, when you have done nearly a whole life together.

Pat, welcome home, from a fairly new Boglehead "family" member in Oregon. I wish you and Taylor many more years of your life together!

And mlebuf, how do you know Pat's fashion model days are behind her? I'd bet she had one of those "off the shoulder" gowns in the hospital...

Speedy recovery, Pat. I had a five-vessel cardiac bypass operation 15 years ago and am still going strong even though I also have diabetes. I wish and expect the same recovery for you. Gail and I are celebrating our 48th anniversary this year. You have a wonderful loving husband with whom you have many more anniversaries to celebrate.

Welcome home, Pat! This is the wonderful news I've been hoping for and watching for. Best wishes and gratitude to you both for sharing your hard earned wisdom. Taylor's patient advice, often appearing during choppy, unsettling times, is just the medicine BH followers need to hear from time to time. It is clear you are a team effort through and through. Take great care with your recovery, and get all the way strong.

Welcome home, Pat. Heart attacks are sometimes so different for women, so I'm glad you got the treatment you needed. You were very lucky.

Do you remember I had you sign my Boglehead book after Taylor did as "The woman behind the man who was the author"? I did the same with Marlene Lindauer and Elke Lebueff.

Mal and I wish you many more happy years sailing the bay with your wonderful husband.

Woah, Nellie! This is the first I've read of Pat's heart issues. I guess I missed out on the other posts. My goodness!

Pat, I'm sorry to hear of this news but I am very pleased you were able to get to the hospital where they made you as good as new. I know Taylor will be happy to have you back home. Hopefully, he will be waiting on you hand and foot.

Take care and please know I am thinking of you this week. Here's to a speedy recovery!

Thank you dear Bogleheads who have meant so much to our family during these many years together.

Dear Mrs. Larimore,

Your husband is one of the kindest people I have ever met, even though we have only met via the internet. He gives advice from the heart and I for one appreciate him very much. I'm sure a big part of his kindness comes from the love you give him. You must be a very special lady.

Get well soon.

Good Morning Pat and Taylor,
I am hopeful that the worst is behind you Pat! I referred many people for this surgery so I have some understanding what you are going through. It is a challenge to the body and mind, but you seem to be a strong determined Lady so I hope your course will be unobstructed.
Take the time to recover properly and try to follow instructions. Don't push too hard and give yourself the time to heal.
It is a major surgery, some recoverer in two month, some in 12. Take the time that is necessary.
If I can be of any help in answering those questions you forget to ask, feel free.
