"Nisiprius" sets the bar high in level of contribution, forum behavior, and absolute style.
A Gentleman, indeed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you... I appreciate the compliment and I'm blushing... but I don't want this sort of attention. You may, if you like, say something when I hit 1,048,576 posts, but, please, not again until then.
If you expect people here to withhold praise, appreciation, and applause until you join the posters' version of the "Two-Comma Club" . . . well, that just ain't gonna happen, and many of us won't live that long.

Agree with all the others here: One of my favorite people on the entire forum, a model of clear writing and common sense, leavened with good humor, and blessedly free of snark toward other participants.

And where would we be if he'd never posted images of all the life lessons carved in stone on the Babson Boulders? :)

He's the gold standard of posters here. I don't see how 35,000 was even possible. I know for me, I have to choose between quality or quantity, but somehow he pulled off both at the same time.

Hi Nisiprius -

Congrats on quite an accomplishment and contribution to the Bogleheads! Not only the overall quantity but rather the high level of quality of your posts. I have learned much.

Best.

Ohhh - the Hindenburg Omen thread is hilarious! Nisi at his quintessential "analytical" best :P A day-by-day Nisi evaluation of the pending 2010 market apocalypse.

Confirmed Hindenburg Omen on 8/20 - anybody watching?

A sneak preview - but it only gets better -

The Hindenburg Omen is still good for another ten days. I mean bad for another ten days. I'm not giving up hope... er... I mean... I'm not giving up fear. On October 4th, the Hindenburg has a rendezvous with destiny!

From this, I have definitively concluded that I shall sell everything on 10/3 - including my puppy - thank goodness for this forum! :)

Saw myself cited and wow, that really brings me back. I just want to thank Nis for putting me on the right path early. Thankfully, your sage advice convinced me to get out of stocks, bonds, and fiat money. I have since invested entirely in triple-leveraged, reverse-Hindenburg futures.

35,000 posts of the highest post-graduate level quality.

AFAIK, Not a "+1" or "me too" or "try fixing the leak with JB Weld" in the bunch.

Congratulations!
