Agenda has been finalized. A bit different than the draft, (or, "better", as we'd call it).

KEYNOTE: Retirement Calculators: Using tools to plan, predict and spend
With oodles of retirement calculators to choose from, it can be overwhelming to determine which one(s) are right for you. In today's main talk, several retirement calculators will be chosen and demonstrated, with emphasis on those that are low/no cost, can reproduce reality, have varied estimation models (e.g., Monte Carlo, average, historical returns) and platforms (internet, desktop), and with some basic attention to retirement spending models (e.g., constant real, stages of retirement).

BREAKOUTS:
A) Retirement calculators, continued: Take a "calculated calculator risk" and come to this breakout table for more on retirement calculator discussion
B) Pension Decision Making: A real-life case study
C) Security: Safeguarding your online passwords. A demonstration of LastPass password encryption software
D) Q&A opportunity to ask questions of experienced Boglehead
E) GenX / Millennial: HSAs, early retirement, loan repayment, work-life balance. budgeting tools, online tools, Roth IRA vs. Trad IRA vs. 401k (Roth or trad)

It's never too late to RSVP (to mnbogleheads@gmail.com) or just show up...

It's a good thing that the meeting was not today (Friday). From the Hennepin County Library Facebook page -
There was a water main break at the Ridgedale Library and Service Center in Minnetonka. No damage reported to the building. However, the Ridgedale service center, courts and library will remain closed until 12 p.m. today.
The east parking lot, near the library, will be closed off due to sustained water damage. Staff and patrons will park in the large lot or in the ramp.
Oh, they just updated their Facebook page -
Ridgedale Library is closed for the rest of Friday because of ongoing water main repair. It will reopen on Saturday.
There should NOT be an issue for tomorrow's Bogleheads' meeting - except for maybe a closed parking lot - but folks might want to check the Hennepin County Library website or the Hennepin County Library Facebook page tomorrow morning to make sure that things are ok before they leave home.
The key to success - Save early, save often, invest well.

I'm looking forward to the Retirement Calculator presentation discussion. There are so many of them out there it is hard to know which is the best to use for each person's situation (accumulation stage/withdrawals state, etc). Darrow Kirkpatrick has a list that he recommends, as does the BH Wiki. There is some overlap.

Darrow's: http://www.caniretireyet.com/the-best-r ... lculators/
