Sounds like a retirement punch-out and a new beginning :D Welcome to the class! We wish you all the best in this wonderful new path you've laid out for us, the wind at your back and the open road ahead of you 8-)

January 3 - it’s been exactly one year since I walked in and signed my paperwork and retired from my position of 36-1/2 years. Still hasn’t completely sunk in.
It’s taken me a lot of years, but I’ve come around to this: If you’re dumb, surround yourself with smart people. And if you’re smart, surround yourself with smart people who disagree with you.

Well, when it sinks in, could you please let us know if you ever figured out why there's a 20-pound frozen turkey up in the light grid? :D

It was a trial run to find out how long it would take to thaw, in preparation for Thanksgiving dinner. Dana didn't want to catch [grief] from her mom for messing up the family Thanksgiving. It didn't work. After dripping water down on the anchors, the turkey fell out of the light grid on to the anchor desk with a loud, very wet *plop*.

Well, you did ask...

It's 24 pounds.

(I had read the tag line often enough without bothering to figure out what I recognized it from.)

Speaking of non-sequiturs, I retired at 55, if you want to include that in an update of the list at some point.

I don't believe I posted this. Officially retired as of september 30, 2017! Very happy now, less stress, more time with family, especially more time to ensure finances are in order (they are)!

:sharebeer to all retirees!
