Yes, I realized that just after I created this.
Maybe I'll create a new one:

Yes, if they speak English.

If one doesn't respond to polls, would one respond to yours? Wouldn't this lead to skewed results?

I don't do polls, that is why I voted no.

Depends on the question.
A better question to ask is which forum member asks the most questions in a poll format. I would recommend "Jumpin" as one who develops at least one poll question per week.

Do I really have to be honest? Honestly?

If any poll were ever going to be unanimous -- this should have been the one ...
Re: Do you like answering polls
I do a lot of things I don't like to do. Some of them even voluntarily, like answering this poll.
Re: Do you like answering polls
Nah. Maybe if the poll was phrased: "Are you answering this poll?". But even then, you'd need everyone to answer truthfully.Harold wrote:If any poll were ever going to be unanimous -- this should have been the one ...
Don't assume I know what I'm talking about.

Not as much as jumpin likes making them.

Re: Do you like answering polls
When I first joined the BH forum, polls were mostly investment and finance related and I did participate on a regular basis.
However, we have had mostly non-investment and boring polls recently and I no longer participate in them unless my user name is mentioned by someone in a poll thread.

I believe this poll under represents the people who don't answer polls.
Lets see... ~25K registered members, minus the "yes" answers to this poll, equals the true "no" count.

Polls and the Heisenberg uncertainty principle
Based on the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, polls detract from a meaningful discussion. It's impossible to know simultaneously and precisely one's position in a poll and one's momentous opinion about the corresponding subject.

I love to answer polls, but I tend to lie on my responses.

I always lie.

I try always to lie, but I am getting old and forgetful, so sometimes I slip and tell the truth, or whatever the current version of the truth is in my mind. Sometimes I forget which is the truth and which is the lie.CaliJim wrote:I always lie.
