Add city threads to Wiki?

Post by Raybo »

I see there is yet another thread on visiting San Francisco. There have been several.

Why not add a section to the wiki for cities and/countries that have had extensive threads about where to visit? It might save on thread count!
No matter how long the hill, if you keep pedaling you'll eventually get up to the top.

Aren't there better sites on the internet for information about where to eat and what to do in a city when traveling? Wouldn't that clutter up the Bogleheads wiki and detract from its focus?

Sure, there are “better” sites on the internet for just about every topic. Many of them are mentioned in the various city and country threads. That, however, doesn’t stop people from adding new threads about places already discussed and “cluttering” up the forum.

I thought The purpose of the wiki was to capture the wisdom of the forum members on various topics in one spot. This isn’t investment related, but fits the “in one place” idea of the wiki.

Travel topics are not appropriate for the wiki, as it is for investing and personal finance only.
Wiki To some, the glass is half full. To others, the glass is half empty. To an engineer, it's twice the size it needs to be.
