SITE OFFLINE Sunday 12:15 PM Eastern (17:15 UTC) - software upgrade

Post by LadyGeek »

The site will be offline Sunday, 12:15 PM Eastern (17:15 UTC) to update the forum software. This is a maintenance and security update.

I expect the update to take less than 1 hour.

(This thread is posted in the Forum Issues and Administration forum, but appears in all forums.)

Success! The forum is now running with the latest version, phpBB 3.2.2.

LadyGeek -

Just curious....how will the upgrade affect the average BH poster in using this Forum?

Thanks,

There were no changes that would affect how a member uses this forum.

The only thing you might see (or not) is a bug fix for blurry icons when using the Chrome browser.

There are some other minor UI changes that a sharp-eyed user might notice.

For example, on the forum subpages such as viewforum.php?f=3, topics having a large number of pages of posts could previously be shown with overlap of the number of pages over the topics list. This has been fixed with this release.

As LadyGeek mentioned, there was a fix for blurry icons. Many of the icons were redone and improved.

That's what I noticed, but on my "Your posts" page. Something was different, took a few seconds to realize it was more white space due to moving the page icons to a separate line as needed.
