The advanced search doesn't seem to accept strings like 5.2%.
I tried putting it in quotes but it didn't recognize it.
Any way to do this?
Can you search for a string like 5.2%?

Yes. Type
5.2% site:bogleheads.org
in your browser address bar. If you have a default search engine specified, what do you get?

OK thanks...use an external search.
So, Google has a complete index history for all BH threads/posts for all time?

I just tried this out. Searching for 5.2% in the regular search works, but the advanced search rejects it; the advanced search sayslivesoft wrote:Yes. Type

If you want to just search one sub-forum, my suggestion would be to make a slight change to livesoft's recommendation and add the forum's title to your search. Example for "Investing - Theory, News & General":The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: 5 2.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.
Code: Select all
5.2% "Investing - Theory, News & General" site:bogleheads.org/forum/
